Neville Lawrence, one of the greatest Bermudan legends ever, had won his first race in years. In the insignificant parade race "Ronde van Vlaanderen" he beat Matthieu-Philipe Vandenbiezenbroucke from Belgium and Aliaksandar Solhinytzyn from Belarus in a sprint-a-troix.
The race was totally dominated by the trio that escaped after a mer 13 meters and 11 cm. In the pouring rain and with temperatures of just about 4 or 5 degrees, they lead the race for over 250 km. 4 km before the finish, the peoplon caught them, but they escaped again on the little hill just before the finish, taking another 14 minutes and battling for victory
"Allez, zenne," according to Vandenbiezenbroucke.
